Abu Dhabi most liveable city in the Gulf, Dubai fourth

Abu Dhabi is the most liveable city in the Gulf region, according to a survey conducted by the Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU), which examined 140 cities worldwide, reports daily Emirates Business.

In the general standings, the capital of the United Arab Emirates came in 74th, while it led the way in the regional standings, followed by Manama (Bahrain), and Muscat (Oman). Regional icon and showcase city Dubai ranked fourth, followed by Kuwait City and by two major cities in Saudi Arabia, Riyadh and Jeddah.

Five categories were considered in the assessment: stability, healthcare, culture and the environment, education and infrastructure. Regarding stability, Abu Dhabi received the highest score (85%), while the city's lowest score (58.1%) was recorded for culture and the environment.
