New Dubai brand to be launched at World Travel Market

A new brand identity for Dubai will be launched at the World Travel Market (WTM) this month, it has been revealed.

The Definitely Dubai brand will provide a range of marketing opportunities for tourism professionals seeking to promote the destination, according to the Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM).

Set to take place at the ExCeL centre in London from November 9th to 12th, the WTM is the world's biggest business-to-business exhibition for the travel and tourism industry.

The DTCM will be attending the event for the 20th consecutive year, presenting a stand that will attract new business opportunities from the UK and Europe, which have been Dubai's biggest tourism source markets since 2002.

Some 854,600 people from the UK and Ireland visited the destination in 2008, an increase of 14 per cent on the previous year.

During the first half of 2009, over 383,000 British and Irish travellers stayed in hotel establishments in Dubai.
